Over Drive
Sep. 19th, 2020 03:17 pmAuto Zone said that our battery was actually fine. I'm not sure how but the man tested it, tested it again on "marine" and said it seemed fine, so Fox wonders if the problem is with our charger. Could be, though the battery is beginning to bulge slightly on one side. But as we were out running around Fox began to wonder about a noise the truck was making.
Since he doesn't drive it as much as I do, he can pick up on new sounds where they began so subtly that I didn't notice. Anyway, front driver's side bearings are going bad. This particular truck has had frequent problems with the bearings, and we have already replaced the front passenger side assembly. They aren't that expensive, and Fox is willing to put his time in to avoid paying the dealer, so we bought a bearing assembly, and since he's under there anyway, new shocks. So the Birdmobile is out of commission for a little while. But we also got Wawa so that sort of made up for it.
I'm not a big fan of flavored roast coffees, but I have that that mixing half of their pumpkin spice roast with half Columbian dark roast yields a nice balance of bitter intensity and sweet flavor. A generous splash of almond milk is also a welcome addition.
That's where most of our day's gone. We came back home so that Fox could check the truck to make sure he was getting all the right parts in the right sizes, and then we headed back into town to actually pick them up.
Of course all this is distracting from the original problem. Why did the tractor battery lose all its charge when it wasn't even connected to anything? That shouldn't happen, yet it did.
