Finish Him!
May. 26th, 2020 10:27 amI've had this thing sitting around scrambled for several months - maybe a year, who knows. So this morning I sat down with a wiki that listed the different algorithms and decided I was going to solve the stupid thing.

This is an older cube, and it's in the Japanese color scheme, which I didn't know when I first got it. It didn't have a box or anything. The Western color scheme has white and yellow opposite, but the Japanese one has white and blue opposite. The methods for solving them are the same, though. My brain actually feels tired right now. I'm going to bask in the self-satisfied glow of having it solved, then, of course, I'm going to scramble it again and solve it. Or Fox will scramble it.

Look at this smug little bastard. He knows how frustrating he is, and he's HAPPY about it.
Once you have the basic movements memorized this is supposed to get a lot easier. I don't think I'm ever going to be a speed-solver but I'd like to polish up my cube skills a little instead of just randomly turning and hoping for the best.
Now I'm also curious about the pyramid twisty-puzzles. I had one as a kid, but I haven't seen them in a long time. Were they four-sided or five? I can't remember, just that it was for some reason a lot more challenging for me than the cube.
