Early this morning, or late last night depending on your point of view, Crowley was sleeping on me and had to puke. So I got covered in cat puke and a nice big slimy hairball. Cleaning that up was not fun, plus I lost a layer of blankets. I mean, it could be worse - one blanket took the "hit" and the rest were spared.

I'm also wearing Fox's barn coat this morning, with my Zox hoodie tucked inside getting warm. Now, Fox can wear this coat all day and no one notices. But the cats have been all over me all morning sniffing and pawing and making butt face. Crowley is making it hard to type because he's laying across the desk with his head and front legs hanging down to get at a particularly "interesting" spot near the coat's hem, and it's like trying to type around a 20-pound fluffy caterpillar.

If we get the email from Better Buy, we're heading into Jacksonville to pick up a 3060 for my computer. With this I should be much more able to play with Blender, for example. It's not unusable on my current setup, but it should run a while lot better with the graphics upgrade. I might even have a shot at doing some animation. Although animation is more of a sideline or a hobby, since I would still be doing regular web comics for the most part. I mean, if I start animating this stuff, who's going to do the voices?

Anyway if we don't get an update soon, I'm going to go ahead and do my daily training run. Gate River Run emailed me this morning - even with being limited to 8,000 participants, they're only 75% full, so hey wouldn't you like to join us? Yes ... but no. Going to pass on that, thanks.

I mean, we could do a certain staf members' voices...they wouldn't exactly be 'quite' accurate, but we could find a way to fiddle... xd

I'm barely getting up to speed with 3d modeling, so animating is a bit beyond my abilities right now. I'm hoping mainly to make models of characters I draw a lot and reduce my time spent looking up reference photos - or taking my own pics.

How does a cat get that long? I swear he's not really that big, but then he somehow defies the normal laws of physics and spreads out.

Also we're now calling him "the caterpillar."

LOL I'll remember that if I actually get to animating anything. I haven't even downloaded Blender yet. But then I JUST got the new card yesterday and spent some quality time playing Talos Principle. Apparently I left off with one or two tetraminos in three levels left, so I've been cleaning up. Now I need to figure out how far along in the game I am.

Doing voices for animated characters sounds like a lot of fun!! Looks like you've got several takers should you decide to go forward with it!

I mean, it could have been worse. I've had a cat puke in a pair of shoes before. This is why I don't let them get in the closets.

I always kind of wanted to do animation but never really had any ideas for what or what sort of stories to do. I'm hoping it will be helpful for 2D drawing though, since I might not have to spend as much time looking for pose references.
