Let's Go Have Fun

We've already established here that I have some odd ideas about what constitutes "fun." Which is why I'm seriously considering doing something "fun" in about three months.
For a couple of years I've been on the Spartan Race email list. These are races I've wanted to do since I started taking running and fitness in general seriously, but usually they only had Florida races in locations that weren't super close, like the closest one I remember was Ocala. Which isn't all that far really, but it's kind of far. Then there were ones in Tampa, Tallahassee, and such, but nothing all that near me, which is weird considering Camp Blanding is like ... right over there. *points* Anyway.
There's a Spartan "City" in Jacksonville this May. And I'm about 99% sold on doing it.
My only concern, and it's one Fox voiced as well, is my arm and upper body strength. I have good leg strength and excellent cardio fitness. My upper body strength is ... better than a lot of people's but not where it needs to be for this. But then, this is why we have training plans, right? :D
