The Friday Five - Cast Your Ballots
Aug. 23rd, 2024 05:48 am1. If you are old enough, are you registered to vote?
Yes.
2. Did you vote in the November 2023 election?
Yes. I typically vote in every election, with the exception of a few small ones we've had where the only thing on the ballot is like ... school district rep.
3. Do you vote in primaries?
Again yes. Florida is also a closed primary state.
4. Do you plan to vote in the November 2024 election?
Absolutely.
5. Do you vote early, by mail, in person, or some other way?
I normally vote early in person. We just voted in a state election last week. State senator, school board, and a circuit court judge. It was also an unfortunate case of "who the hell are these people" because I didn't know we had a circuit court judge's seat up for grabs. I got severely burnt out on following politics because my first husband was politics 24/7/365, news on TV all the time, etc. So I try to keep up but I also protect my peace by avoiding reading or watching tons of news or over-consuming political information.
Vote early, vote often!
Yes.
