Probably going to bed early again tonight - I'm tired, but I also ate a big bowl of Japanese noodles for dinner, followed by a cinnamon scone. So I'm sleepy and stuffed, LOL.
Scones came out pretty good, if a bit underdone in the middle. I may go back to my usual rolled oat scones, which were pretty easy to make and always crunchy on top. They also held up fairly well, so you could pack them.
I have my last long run this weekend, then the ultra is next Saturday. They don't have any live tracking, but they may post finish times by the end of the day - here's their web page - but I'm hoping to have posted here by then. Gun is at 7:15 am, and we're supposed to be done by 5 pm. There are "only" three aid stations, but there's one that we pass four times, another we pass two or three times, and one at the halfway point where our drop bags will be. The course is obviously all over the place! They did say they're going to blaze trees and put out plenty of orange flags, and we'll have GPX files next week.
Oh wait - there's a new link on that page - "Entrants" may be where finishing times end up. I'm down at the bottom, since this is my first ultra and the site has no data on me yet. Looks like there are four others in my age group. Here's to being fifth place :D
There are still a lot of robins hanging around. I guess they're here for the winter. I'm not used to seeing them around my yard, specifically, so much, and I'm delighted they've decided to live near here.
