Why Am I Like This

I just realized that a few weeks ago I was talking to one of my neighbors as if I thought he was someone else. And I was talking about him, to him. Oh my god.

Happily I didn't have anything bad to say - I mentioned they (he) always keeps his fence maintained and his dogs are actually pretty friendly. But I'm hideously embarrassed that I didn't recognize him and my only excuse is the fact that I have the functional memory of a goldfish.

So anyway, I'll be changing my name and moving to Nepal.

I don't have social skills, I do nervous chit chat and trip over my words and slip up a lot.

I've done the same! At a con some ages ago, I talked up an artist I knew to the man himself, saying what a good host he was and that he had cool taste in videos. *facepalm* I'm just gonna be like that forever. I can't tell humans apart or remember their names.

I tend to forget faces pretty easily, which is obviously not a really good thing. I'm decent at names, but putting them to faces is hard.
