Can Eats? No Eats. Sad Bear.

pshaw_ravenToday I learned I'm 30 days away from Wine & Dine, and 91 from Dopey.
I feel both panicky and prepared.
I feel more prepared for W&D, and I'm currently brainstorming ways to shoehorn Dopey training in between the start of November and the second weekend in January. And honestly, at this point I think my base fitness is good enough that I can just start tacking a mile a week onto my long runs and be fine. I'm not looking to set a major time goal at that particular race.
Not much has exactly been going on here lately. I'm still working on my comic, though I took several days off because I was starting to feel a bit burnt out, in addition to feeling like "this is a stupid story and you're stupid for writing it."
The bear came back recently - no cubs spotted but she's been sauntering around almost every night lately. This particular video amuses me. She can obviously see the infrared lights on the camera. This one's mounted on the side of the shed where we lock up the garbage cans and it's called "Main Road," because that trail leading in from the right is our driveway. So we can normally see things that pass on the road. It's easier to see when the leaves are down.

Date: 2021-10-06 07:24 pm (UTC)I love logging into the camera system and finding wildlife video. I wish our old cameras had been better, because we once caught the bear drinking out of a hummingbird feeder, but the video was super grainy and dim.
