The biography was on the whole very good, except for that, which was too much agenda-pushing. It honestly made me wonder why Dery was so insistent on it, like there's something else going on that I'm unaware of. But then he may just simply not understand asexuality as an orientation.
Gorey has always appealed to my taste for dark humor and the comedic-gothic. Sometimes I'm reading one of his books and think, "I should not be laughing at this so hard."
