Flocking Adorable
Jul. 23rd, 2022 10:00 amToday's run was 10 miles on the road. Done in 1:59:09, so I actually did hit a goal I'd set. I was thinking I'd like to do this in under two hours, but then thought, there's no point in killing myself on a training run. Just keep a steady effort, keep your walking pace brisk when you take a walk break, and you'll get done when you get done.
I saw a flock of wild Turkeys with their chicks! Cute little fuzzy things - well, not THAT little, but definitely cute. I had to look it up, but baby Turkeys are "pullets." I heard a calling Hawk, but it was deep in some woods and I never actually saw it. The local Crows were very active along one stretch of my home road. When I was on my way home I saw lots of Crow tracks in the sand where they were walking around and scratching.
Earlier this week I downloaded Stray and have been enjoying it immensely. I'm at about the halfway point in the game, I'd guess. I just reached the Antvillage. I have meowed a lot, knocked things off ledges, scratched up furniture, and walked on computer keyboards. They even included the "falling over" thing cats do when you get your little backpack from B12. I've been playing that along with rather obsessively playing Hades.
