Since we leave on Tuesday I'm down to my last two days of trip prep. I did laundry, so I can start packing my running gear, and I made some granola to take along. Today I need to run the carpet cleaner down the hall and around in the living room some to clean up the puke stains. I hate carpet. I hate that I have to go through this much effort to clean up cat barf. I may start campaigning for tile/vinyl/bamboo floors and get this fucking carpet out of here. ANYWAY, since I really don't want to clean carpets, I decided to use the "loot drop" method. I'm a big believer in gamifying everyday tasks, and since I am feeling this avoidant with the carpet cleaning, I'm going to consider it a boss chore. The loot drop is a bowl of matcha chia pudding that I just mixed up and stuck in the fridge to do its thing.
I like chia pudding but I use a stick blender on mine because the texture of the chia seeds bothers me. Same reason a lot of fresh fruit is something I still have trouble eating - I have a major aversion to slimy, slippery textures in foods. Anyway, I'll blend it up tonight, maybe throw some chocolate chips on top.
I also need to email the cat-sitter this evening, plus about a dozen other things that need to be checked off before I can go. Of course, my brain will find something to fixate on and be anxious about but that can't really be helped.
Fox is actually getting outside to wash off the tractor, so I guess I'll clean the carpet. Then we'll both be done with our big "don't wanna" chores for the day.
