I heard something from somewhere about a big hurricane in the US recently, and reading that you're in the area is quite startling. I'm so sorry I haven't kept up with things, as I've been quite occupied with offline things as you might have read. I'm glad to hear that you're doing okay, though. Even though you say it's basically over, please continue to be careful. I'll be reading your updates here over the other side of the world.
Also, I had to look up what a catbird is, as at first I thought there in Florida there was some sort of Floridian mutant species or something. But it's just a pretty cute little bird. I guess they were also hunkering down during the chaos.
