The odd part is I don't have pain. I sometimes have a dull ache, but it's often after I've discussed it with someone, and I tend to think that's psychosomatic. But so far, I haven't had any discomfort, even when the liver doc was poking me and looking for obvious hard lumps and stuff. I do hope you can get someone to take you seriously - bleeding sounds like it ought to be cause for much more concern than they're showing!
I felt sort of "off" the rest of the day but was fine the next. Hopefully I won't need to do that level of fasting again for a while. Usually I just get the blood drawn and by eight or 8:30 I'm eating something.
