Sometimes I would love to have a little more flat around here - we're at the other end of the Appalachians, so we get a lot of thru hikers and such. I'm just far enough away that it's not very realistic of me to be a trail angel (boo), but I do love meeting up with them on the trail (Usually it's in the autumn, though, and they're just pushing to finish before the snow flies on Katahdin).
I didn't hike this year, which is killing me, but the RA is too new and I was trying to get it under control. I think I'm there, so I'm hoping next year to get back to some easier hikes. I hope. I desperately miss being in the woods.
