Here's a timely article on heat adaptation for athletes. Shouldn't be paywalled - if it is let me know and I'll copy-paste the whole thing.
We're under a daily heat advisory here - I see it every morning on my phone. So for now, I'm going to be running most, if not all, my workouts inside on the treadmill. There's heat adaptation and then there's avoiding heat stroke. And the humidity here is almost always 95% or higher, so it's absolutely miserable even before the sun comes up. And it starts getting light and it's like that Super Mario level where the angry sun is trying to kill you.
Anyway, at least indoors I have a chance of dumping heat, where outside I can't really cool myself because sweat won't evaporate and I'm just wet AND hot.

I still feel like we're in a simulation. When I was in college, a professor introduced the brain-in-the-vat theory to us. I've not forgotten it but I didn't put much stock into it. It's laid dormant in my mind. Now though...
This is a concept N isn't understanding. His health has been taxed this week yet he persists. He's showing signs of ending back up in the hospital. [Again, different topic/another day.]
