pshaw_ravenAlton Brown's recipe for Yorkshire pudding - This is one of those dishes that, being a nerdy Anglophile kid (and adult if we're being honest) I would read about and never quite understood, but wanted to try. You'd think my experience trying Turkish Delight would make me think twice about testing foods I read about in novels, but I can't imagine this thing being at all bad.
I got stung by a wasp yesterday. I've gone almost 48 years on this earth without being stung and holy crap did it hurt. I thought someone shot me. And it was on the kneecap, too, so hobbling around angrily looking for the wasp killing spray was painful as hell. Yes, I did go back out there and commit war crimes, but they started it. I took some Benadryl before bed (this was all happening around 7:30 pm) and ended up having weird anxiety dreams, but my knee felt a lot better this morning.
I'm making sourdough cheese bread today. First time trying the recipe. I need to find something to make with all this discard. I'm also thinking of getting back into brewing kombucha - I enjoyed doing it and I liked the lemon-hibiscus booch soda I was making. I'd need a kombucha mother, but I still have all the EZ Cap bottles.
