I hated having to do stuff like memorize the presidents or spit up dates. History basically IS stories. And some rip-roaring good ones. Aside from the abolitionist fellow who was shot at that one house, in the 20th century, our county also saw organized resistance to the Klan, and my parents told me some stories about that as well. I should look that up and see what else I can find out.
Ducks are usually pretty laid back, but geese always seem ready to fight. I have never met a goose that acted like it was in a good mood, unless "hiss and bite" is a good mood for geese.
