When I'd mentioned to my pcm my right abdominal pain, she sent me to get an ultrasound thinking I may have a hernia around my belly button from surgeries. But when I got there, she'd only generically entered 'abdominal area'. The tech squirted the gel above where the pain was. When I asked her if she'd also be scanning where the pain was, she said she was just going to do the liver area & surrounding but then wiped that off when I showed her where the pain actually was. She found nothing untoward though [of course]. Since then I've had 2 separate episodes of pain and v bleeding. One episode I've had before but many years ago. It stymied drs then too as they found nothing amiss so finally prescribed 2 different antibiotics & sent me home. That did help though. This time I waited it out & the pain eventually went away. But now I'm wondering if I should've let the tech scan the liver area because they've never checked that before. It's just upsetting to feel as if something is wrong but keep being told no it isn't, so it must be in your head. Hence why for many years I just stopped going to the dr but now that I am again, it's more of the same.
Anyway, I hope everything went well & the fasting didn't negatively impact you too much :)
