I have a "new pet."

After trying unsuccessfully to get my own sourdough starter going, I bought some fresh starter from King Arthur (along with a glass jar to keep it in) and now have a nice, bubbly little colony of beasties to make breads and waffles and stuff with. I've already baked some biscuits with the discard, and I have more this morning because it's feeding day. Later today I need to portion out ripe starter for a loaf of basic sourdough sandwich bread.

The starter happily lives in the fridge, where it requires feeding about once a week, as opposed to counter-top dwelling starters that need feeding every twelve hours. And since it came from King Arthur Baking Company its name is Galahad. King Arthur sells a high-gluten 14% protein flour called Sir Lancelot, and while I have no idea what flour was used for their sourdough, I've named this one Galahad anyway because I have to use my Medieval Studies degree and lifelong obsession with Arthurian lore for something.

I am also looking at selling off my collection of Zox wristbands. I have an absurd amount of them and don't wear most, so probably going to list the lot of them on eBay and see what someone will give me for them. I have a lot of older (2016-2018) designs, including several gold stitched bands, so hopefully someone will find it enticing enough to take off my hands. The only downside may be that I no longer have envelopes for most of them, but I do have the cards in a binder, which will also be included.

In gaming stuff, I finally made it through Hyper Light Drifter's horde mode. The final arena included enemies from all four regions, which meant in later waves, you had multiple types of elite enemies, including the machine gun dirks. Sometimes two or three. There's no secret or cheese or anything here, I just kept at it and got lucky with enemy spawns. The run where I was successful only gave me two machine gun dirks, both early on. So now I'm back to looking for gearbits.

Warner is apparently looking to delist their Adult Swim games from Steam, so no idea what this might mean for Rain World. It's my understanding that if I've bought it, I can still play it, but I would need to go ahead and buy the DLC soon. They aren't even transferring ownership back to the studios who made them, so typical corporation BS.

Anyway, I gotta go set stuff on fire today.

Given the whole business with Coyote vs. Acme and other films Warner Bros. completed but is too insane to release in any form to the general public, I'm not surprised they would do something like that on Steam.

Looks like Rain World switched publishes a while back, so they're at least safe (which is good because I still need to play it.)
