yeah, i'm in a semi-rural area - we have a 4 acre farm, our north neighbor is a 75 acre alfalfa/horse farm, and then our south neighbors are 6 half-acre lots with various agricultural (or not) interests. it's all mixed like that. these are mostly just jerk-dogs - the good guard dogs tend to be well cared for and well trained.
