Mar. 31st, 2024 06:26 amAt Fort Wilderness at Disney World, they've got this old calliope that used to be in parades and stuff, pulled by eight Percherons. It was made in the early 1900s (I forget the year) and it's behind glass now, but you can go look at it if you go over to the stables. There's a button you can push to hear a recording of it playing.
I've been thinking all morning about the time we went to see it and there was a family with a toddler, and Fox showed the kid how to push the button for music. The kid would press the button every time the recording ended. Like, he'd RUN from the other end of the room to do it. This was right before we left to catch our bus :D
