Ain't Fit For Man or Beast

It's been raining since I got up this morning and it's still coming down pretty hard with no signs of stopping. Days like this make me glad I have a treadmill - I would NOT want to be doing today's 20-miler in this weather. Nope. On the other hand there's treadmill boredom, but Fox logged me into his Crunchyroll account so I'll be watching Attack on Titan. At the moment I'm waiting for my breakfast to settle a little before I suit up and go - at my typical training pace for endurance runs it'll take me probably four hours to knock this out, including walk breaks and the inevitable bathroom break. LOL I'm slow.

I suspect I'm developing an overuse problem in my lateral ankle, but I'm not sure whether to back off and go to Disney undertrained or just grin and bear it. My training schedule has one more 20-mile run on the 23rd, then slowly tapers me off from there. The next two weeks are the highest in mileage and then basically on Christmas it starts to get easier.

I also have about 400ml of coffee left, so I stuck it in the fridge. I forsee a mocha latte recovery smoothie this afternoon. Mmmmmm. And the cats are all loafed up around in the exercise room, but everyone except Nana-cat will leave once the treadmill turns on. For some reason the noise doesn't bother her, and she'll get in her basket and nap while I run. And of course when I stop to use the bathroom, she'll follow me in there are quack at me while I pee, because cat.

Enjoy Attack on Titan while you run. I loved the first season, but ended up rage quitting the manga. But, the first season is spectacular.

Wish I still had some type of gym equipment to use when it's rainy or too cold. I don't really like the thought of going to a gym, so I just end up skipping on those days then feeling bad about it. No win situation.

Ugh, I dislike injuries [or overuse] getting in the way of physical activity. You're on a roll then bam - sidelined! If it were me, I'd probably back off on the training so I could still go & run the race. Because my luck has been when I ignore, it makes it worse then I'm sidelined longer.

Ah, that will definitely do it! I've learned that the hard way. Sounds like a good plan! I'm glad the different shoes are helping.
