Let's Go Have Fun, Together!
I'm signed up for a Spartan Race. Heaven help me.
And since it's not enough for me to do dumb things on my own, I signed Fox up, too. They were having a VD Day sale - two registrations for the price of one. Just registrations, mind you, not all the other fees. Spartans are expensive! :O
I spent this morning putting my various training plans in order, so I should be ready by May 2. The reason Fox was questioning me about this yesterday was when he looked at the website, he thought I was signing up for a different Spartan event that is on February 22. But he agrees that if I stick to my plan I'll be prepared for May.
The training plan calls for making a 15 to 25 pound sandbag, but considering I haul around 35-pound buckets of cat litter, 5-gallon water jugs, and firewood logs of various weights and sizes, I think I'll have plenty of heavy objects to lift, carry, and put down. Worst case, I put a bunch of books in a grocery bag. I have a 15-pound cat but he gets cranky when I bench press him.
