Interesting! I think the main purpose of the puff on your eyeball is to gauge the pressure within. I don't think the retina scanner could do that, but could obviously see if glaucoma was beginning. There's no way to prepare for that puff. For me, the quicker it is, the better because then I'm not anticipating it & squinching my eyes closed lol.
