That is one thing I miss. Where I am from, small business are everywhere. Here, if you are not part of a big conglomorate, you are likely to not make it.
Which means if you are outside a city, you are pretty much stuck. It is no wonder the environment suffers; there is nothing to walk to that is useful in many places anymore, and those with cars are forced to either drive or move closer to things so they can live.
