Garlic knots are delicious. I hope you got a little time to fit in your art for the day. I do the same thing where I have the best intentions of drawing something new in my art journal, but then get caught up in other things that run over time and before long, it's too late. :/
It's cool that you're a postal nerd. I watch tracking like a hawk whenever I'm expecting something. I also think I'm mildly addicted to that rush of receiving a package in the mail, so that's not good for the bank. Lately I've been going a bit crazy on used books.
Where I live (PNW) we've had problems with wildfires too in the last two summers with drought conditions. Also in Alaska (where I grew up) it was always an issue. I hope you get a safe amount of rain down there sometime soon!
