The extra-stupid part is that the road is fine. It's been worked on since the hurricanes and is looking good. This dipshit went out of his way to go into the ditch and fucked himself up. Of course, now that section of road is going to get torn up as they drag the truck out. Nice job, dumbass.

What I strongly suspect is he came around that corner in the dark and didn't know that these ditches are six feet deep in some places. We get a LOT of runoff in the rainy season since this is all on a downhill.

But he was still going too fast. When I came back later a tow truck had pulled it out, but they were winching it onto the flatbed because he apparently *really* messed up his front end.

Yeah, rutted ditches are no joke. If it's like the people around where I live, they are constantly speeding through the area.
