The smaller kind of tower, yeah, you can easily build it with three people! You'd need more people and different equipment for bigger ones - like I mentioned ours is made of rohn 20? The bigger the number, the larger and beefier the sections are, so there's rohn 65, which is massive. Each leg is two inches in diameter. It also dictates how tall your tower can get, so the big military towers are rohn 65 or larger since they need to be very tall.
But basically you use a gen pole (which is a fancy pulley on a stick that mounts to the tower) and something to pull the sections up. We used a truck-powered winch. I do have pics, but I'll need to edit them together into an album and I'll post that separately. Fox has some pics he took from the very top, and before we could see what we think is Palatka, but now we can see a lot further.
And on your other comment, it's sad how we grow up being told all this toxic stuff by teachers, parents, and other kids, but then we internalize it and start saying it to ourselves. And that voice isn't gone completely, but I've been working hard to de-fang it.
